Cross the brambles and reach the spinning-rock item
Hold the nearby fruit, then use the action that ends the loop. The reported temporary state lets you touch brambles without being hurt and warp through them. A player confirmed reaching the item protected by spinning rocks after this explanation.
This answer comes from the late Paternost/elevator thread. It is not an all-game invulnerability guide or a verified fastest route.
Route note
Fruit → temporary state → Warp

Find the fruit before attempting the passage
OrangeClown points to fruit on the ground, at least at the bottom of the elevator. They explicitly had not checked whether another fruit was behind the shrine door.
Use the visible fruit near the elevator rather than assuming the shrine room contains another one. The source does not establish that paying the shrine is necessary to learn this action.
Use the temporary state
- Hold the fruit.
- Use your configured end-loop action while holding it.
- While in the temporary state, use Warp to move through the brambles.
- Continue toward the item you were trying to reach. The original poster reports successfully collecting the spinning-rock item after the hint.
Translate action names into your controls
The reply gives L1 + R1 for ending the loop and RB for Warp. Those are the responder’s controller labels, not verified keyboard bindings.
On Windows PC, check the bindings for End Loop and Warp in your setup. The thread does not establish a universal duration for the temporary state, the exact route through every bramble room or immunity to every hazard.
The shrine cost was a separate problem
The developer called the 12-minute statue cost a mistake and said it would change in the next patch. In Node Access Issues, the developer also hints at going through the brambles.
The latest visible Steam notes checked October 12 are 1.0.0.61; they do not announce that cost change. Do not spend a large time reserve solely because you assume the shrine leads to a permanent shortcut or a guaranteed reward.
Check the outcome, not just access
The successful report closes the player’s item problem; it does not say every door and checkpoint beyond the shrine remains usable in later loops. The poster separately describes a one-way exit and a key positioned before a temporary checkpoint.
If you reach a different obstacle, record the room and whether you are still in the temporary state. For the node entrance itself, see the Depths elevator routes.
