What to show Tetsa: Recall the Glaive

Windows PC release · community answers checked October 12, 2026 · spoilers

The short answer

Demonstrate the Glaive’s Recall ability to Tetsa, rather than making it glow. A player who was trying the light ability completed this interaction after being told to use Recall.

That player also reported the interaction was optional. You do not need to make it a prerequisite for finding the Depths node.

Route note

The familiar ability is the answer

  1. 01Tetsa asks for an ability she would know
  2. 02Demonstrate Recall
  3. 03Check the conversation
  4. 04Depths access is a separate route

Use the familiar Recall action

  1. Return to the encounter where Tetsa asks to see an ability of the Glaive she would know.
  2. Demonstrate Recall using your configured controls.
  3. Check whether the interaction advances, then continue her conversation.

Why showing the glowing Glaive misses the request

The original player tried lighting the Glaive while meeting Tetsa in several states and assumed the request meant they needed a later power. Marculus’s correction was to use Recall, the familiar earlier action.

You do not need to infer a new light unlock from that wording. The thread does not provide exact positioning, a required bell time for every encounter or a complete sequence through all her states.

Separate the conversation from the Depths route

After doing the interaction, the poster said it was optional and was relieved that it was not the main plot requirement they had assumed.

If your actual goal is the third node, use the cathedral elevator route. Waiting for Tetsa’s journal wording to change can send you looking for the wrong prerequisite.

If the request does not advance

Check that you are demonstrating Recall at the relevant request, rather than only holding a glowing Glaive. Note the encounter, build and action you used if the result differs.

The developer acknowledged confusing guidance and planned improvements. The latest visible 1.0.0.61 notes do not announce this interaction’s rewrite; this page describes the dated successful community answer rather than promising identical messaging on every platform.
